Now you have decided to move on to some serious work with your blog. So it's time to buy and set up a custom domain in blogger. So what's a custom domain first. In simple words creating your own property. Till now we have 'theguyscomputer.blogspot.in' as here The Guy's computer had a sub domain 'blogspot.in', but as soon as I brought a custom domain, and after setting up that custom domain the 'blogspot.in' was removed.

There are a lot of domain name providers in India. So these are the following which are common

1. Godaddy.com

2. Bigrock.in

3. Znetlive 

4. Esay DNS

5. No-IP

And a lot more. You can do Google research too. Now before just jumping for buying a Domain name, never forget to research for discount coupons. As a result of these coupon code I got 'theguyscomputer.com'  in just 135 INR for One Year. So that's the benefit of applying coupons.

As I have brought this domain name from Go Daddy, So I will show the process of Buying domain.

First enter your desired domain name in the search bar of godaddy or the domain name provider and after that just click Continue to Cart.

Now after that You need to enter the Coupon code and Proceed to check out for being billed.

Now Proceed and enter your details in the next tab shown. And also you need to put your Debit/Credit card details to make the transaction. 

This is a process of next two steps where you will also need to accept terms and conditions and then you will be billed as soon as you will OTA in the next banking page (though it can differs)

Now you have successfully brought a Domain name.

How To Set Up A Custom Domain in Blogger

  Now it's time to map your domain to your blogger. For setting up your custom domain you need to login to the control panel of your domain name provider with a user name and password which you had set in early steps. 

Now On top left you will see your user name with a drop down arrow key. Move your cursor there and click and a drop down menu will appear, from there just click on to 'My Products'.

Now after that, You need to click on '+' expand on 'Domain' Option and then click on 'Manage Dns'.

Now After Clicking 'Mange Dns' you will see this page. Now as like shown in picture enter the details as mentioned there, except first CNAME, as you need to enter yours which will be given  in blogger. Or you will get these details in the blogger's help page.

Now Login to your Blogger's Dashboard and then navigate to 'Setting' and click on 'Set up third party url for your blog'.

and put 'www.yourdomain name.com' there and after clicking save you will get your CNAME record. And after that you need to put that in your Domain management there which was omitted earlier.

Now after putting the CNAME records in your Domain name control panel. Just wait for few minutes and then come back to blogger's 'setting' then 'basic' and then again 'Blog address' and now press save again and your new domain will be saved. 

Also do check 'redirect xyz.com to www.xyz.com' here xyz is your domain name. By this people will be redirected to your website without typing www every time.

1. First Go to Dashboard of your Blog or Website.
2. Then at blogger navigate to 'Layout' tab.
3. Now click on 'Add a Gadget' and click on 'HTML/JavaScript'

4. Now paste the following code to content section of 'HTML/Java Script' tab and replace 'guycomputer' with your Facebook's Page's URL or user name.

Now to makes changes to the Styles of your Facebook Page in your website  you can change the Value of this code to True or False as required.  Here "data-hide-cover" stands for your Facebook cover photo, 'data-show-facepile' stands for the user's faces who already had liked your Facebook Page and 'data-show-posts' controls the display of your Page's post here at your blog or website.

Adding Facebook's JavaScript to your blog's/website's  Body  

Now the above codes failed because your website or blog had missing Facebook java-script. So it's time to add it to your blog.

First go to 'Template' and click on 'Edit HTML'

Then click inside that HTML code and press 'Ctrl + F' and type '</head>'. Now after that search for '< body' which must be below two or three lines of '</head>' tag. Now paste below code somewhere inside the body tag.

So today with me we will learn "how to add blogger widgets" and will be opening more ways to make your blog more social.

Add or Remove Blogger Widget

1.First login to your Blogger's dashboard, click on the drop down arrow key to access the "layout" tab of your blog.

2. Now after opening on the layout tab in your blog, scroll down or look for "Add a Gadget". It's location depends upon your custom template's design. Click on it.

3. After clicking on "add a gadget" a small windows will popup. Now choose a variety of blogger widgets from the predefined list and click on your desired widget.

4. And after setting it up, just click save and a message will be displayed "Page element added".

5. Now you can either preview your blog or you can save this by clicking Save arrangement on the top right of your screen.

How to Remove Blogger Widgets 

As we have added widgets to a blog in similar way sometime we need to remove some annoying widgets which did not get compatible with the template as in my case. However I will change the template of my blog soon.

Removing blogger widgets is very easy. 

1. As we are already logged in to blogger so look at the bottom right of your blogger widget in your blog. There you will find a Setting icon. Now Click on that.

2. Now a widget window will pop up. Click on Remove to delete that widget from your blog.

Alternatively, you can do this by going to blogger dashboard and then clicking on "Layout". From there look for the widget that you wanted to remove from your blog. And then click on it and press remove when window will pop up .

Now one reason to add blogger widgets is socialising, other reasons are connecting blog readers to our blog's social network. As not every time our friends or people will not type the computer guy's blog address. 

Even I am a human and typing a blog address is a pain. It takes time. So why not I connect my readers to social networks?

So they can easily get my blog updates and can share their knowledge through The Guy's Computer blogger Platform. 

And there are a lot of funny and cool-tech widgets which can make your blog more cool. You can add Instagram, flicker, Facebook photo gallery, Even a Talking Avatar and a Donkey Kong game (I knew you liked Donkey Kong).
